Solid Wood is a Natural Fiber 1. Each board in a panel has its own special grain characteristics. This causes it to accept stain in its own unique way. 2. Excessively humid conditions will cause a wood panel to absorb moisture and result in a warped or twisted panel. 3. Extremely dry conditions will cause a wood panel to dry out and shrink, resulting in a cracked panel. 4.Optimum humidity will be between 35% and 45% relative humidity. Finish Information After final sanding, this bed is finished with a catalyzed varnish clear coat. This finish is resistant to most household substances. We recommend cleaning your furniture with a damp cloth to remove dust. Proper cleaning and care of your furniture will reward you with many years of usefulness.

For solid wood, dust by spraying the furniture with some warm water, then wiping it all with a clean microfiber cloth going with the grain. For Amish poly furniture, simply clean with mild soap and water, as it's designed to withstand outdoor elements with minimal upkeep.
