What are Amish Made breadboard dining room table ends?

The breadboard end of an Amish Made Dining Room Table is a piece of wood that runs perpendicular to the rest of the top. This is popular in Amish Made rustic farmhouse tables and islands. While largely aesthetic, it does serve an important purpose. It helps keep the top straight as the wood naturally expands and contracts. This is standard on many of our trestle tables on our tables.
